Ingredients
- 1 ½ Cups of Sugar
- 1 ½ Cups of Water
- 6 Heaped spoonful's of Jenier Rose Congou Superior China Black Tea
Method
- Place all the ingredients into a thick bottomed pan.
- Place pan on a stove.
- Apply heat from the stove and mix the ingredients in the pan gently together
- Bring to the boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for five minutes.After 5 minutes, carefully remove the pan from the stove
- Strain the hot syrup in the pan through a metal sieve into a heat resistant container
- Cool the syrup in the container and then chill.
Serving Suggestions
- Pour some syrup into a tall glass; add some ice and cool water with a sprig of mint.
- Pour neat over ice cream
- Mix with gin, or vodka, soda water, ice and a slice of lemon to make a Rose Tea Cocktail
