Delivery and Packaging
We put a lot of effort into buying tea that's high quality and has been picked at the peak of the season, so it makes sense that we put just as much effort into making sure we deliver the tea to you so it's as fresh as it possibly can be.
Packaging
How do we do that? Well, over 80% of our teas are nitrogen flushed and vacuum sealed into our pouches whilst still on the tea estates. This remarkable process means that all oxygen is removed and thus ensures the tea inside the packaging does not lose its wonderful freshness or flavour. In the unopened state, teas stored in this way have a very long shelf life and then will be good up to a further 2 years once opened.
Delivery Charges
For some of our customers, a speedy delivery is not necessary and so a lower cost shipping option using Royal Mail and Airmail makes economic sense. In the UK we offer a FREE delivery service on all orders over $47.40 and a fixed fee of $4.70 for orders below $47.40.
For the times when speed of delivery is important, we offer a courier service using UPS for both UK and International destinations.
All shipping charges are calculated by weight and are clearly shown at the checkout. Where a FREE delivery option is selected, we will ship your order to you using the most cost effective method available for the weight of your order.
Carbon Neutral
We are committed to reducing any CO2 impact our shipping activities may have on the environment. As such, through our couriers, UPS, we purchase certified carbon (CO2) offsets to support projects throughout the world such as reforestation, landfill gas destruction, wastewater treatment, and methane destruction. For every UK shipment we donate $0.20 and for every international shipment we donate $0.30.
