Russian Caravan loose black tea has full-bodied flavour with wonderful smoky overtones and is a tea steeped in history! Following the Silk Road traditions, we've combined an Assam and a Lapsang Souchong (to give that smoky hint of the campfires) and a light, bright Ceylon tea. We think this tea is worthy to be carried by any camel, but hopefully we'll get yours to you a little faster!

Exploring the world by tea
Wow, there is ampungent aroma of the fresh leaves, gunpowder smell, hint of rubber tyres, smells strong, almost scary, my first thought was this could be either foul beyond belief or world changing. Tried first with milk, old habits die hard, , has a smoky bonfire kind of taste and smell, which is very pleasant, a wide taste across the back of the tongue, but thin bodied, not as full as say the Yorkshire Tea. It’s a very aromatic tea, it’s fills the room with the smoky aromas. This would good outside tea, when gardening and taking a break kind of tea. The flavours linger nicely in your mouth. Hints of the flavour come back hours later. I wouldn’t have this as my everyday tea, Mayfair Breakfast Blend fits that spot, but this is a tea to really enjoy. I suspect it might be a bit of a Marmite flavour, like Earl Grey, you either love it or hate it. Unlike Earl Grey I love it, but I’ve not tried the real Jenier Earl Grey tea, yet.
